Alright, so even though the first Press the Button game was a complete flop in terms of rating (which is ok because I hate it too), is getting a sequel. I'm really excited and have enjoyed the development of this game so far. In terms of questions about the game, I will try to answer them in the comments. I'm also gonna talk about some loose plans.
The gameplay is gonna be a lot less unexpected and badly designed. The reason why the gameplay in the first game was lacking was because the game was made in 12 hours, causing me to not really care about quality. More puzzle-like designs, new features, more levels, just more content in general.
This game is going to have 50 levels, I guarantee you. It's also gonna have minigames, a shop with designs and styles, maybe even an achievement system in-game? I have no idea, honestly. There's also going to be a museum, explaining cut content from the game that you players won't have to dig up in 5-10 years. I know I'm making big promises, but I won't release it until it's ready
Here's some crazy ideas I'm gonna throw out there to see if people like them.
- An expansion that adds lore to the game
- A computer minigame (or possibly stage?)
- A cheat code menu
- Sound test room where you can listen to all of the banger music
So that's really it for the game so far, I'll keep you guys posted (and by that I mean my 3 fans) on the progress of the game and how many levels I've made (which is 6 at the moment). Also, here's some teaser images.
